Woman gets prison for DUI

    MILFORD — A Port Jervis, N.Y. woman last week in Pike County Court was sentenced to from one to five years in a Pennsylvania state prison. Robin Rankin, 43, was sentenced on Feb. 11 and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine. Her driver’s license was also suspended for 18 months. Rankin was charged with driving under the influence and aggravated harassment by a prisoner. On Sept. 13, of last year Rankin was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in Westfall Township, and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She refused to consent to a blood alcohol test. While being arrested, Rankin spit into the face of a police officer.
