Woman sentenced for three DUIs

    MILFORD — A Milford woman will spend 15 months and two days to 10.5 years in a state prison for three Driving Under the Influence convictions. Heather Almodoval, age 39, of Milford was arrested three separate times over a 6 month period. First on Jan. 22, on state Route 739, Almodoval drove her vehicle off the road, with a blood alcohol level of .151%. Then on Feb. 28, on state Route 402, Almodoval was found under the influence of alcohol parked along the road with her keys in the ignition. She refused to give a breath sample to determine her blood alcohol level. The last time on June 8, on Interstate Highway 84, Almodoval, was again parked on the shoulder of the road with her vehicle running; her blood alcohol level was .219%. The case was prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Bruce DeSarro.
