Woodloch Pines announces staff assignments and changes
LACKAWAXEN n Some recent changes in the staff at Woodloch Pines include: Rich Chapman is promoted and serving as the new Woodloch Pines Warehouse Supervisor. Chapman started his career at Woodloch in 1992 after graduating from Wilkes University with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Accounting. He worked in the following departments during his early years: Recreation, Front Desk, Marketing, Beach Manager, was the Social Administrative Manager, Corporate/Group Sales, and currently was promoted to Warehouse Manager. His responsibilities will include hiring and managing the warehouse staff, plus all of the receiving and delivering to over 50 departments at Woodloch. Alison Sherry, who has been hired to work in the Human Resource Department. She graduated from Wilkes University in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with concentrations in Public Relations, Telecommunications, and Rhetoric. Alison interned with F. M. Kirby Center for Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre, as a PR/Marketing intern and FOX 56 in Plains, as a PR/Promotions intern. She was the Chair of the Board of Wilkes University’s student-run PR agency, Zebra Communications as well as a segment producer for the campus T.V. show, Wilkes World. She also did movie and entertainment reviews for the school newspaper, The Beacon. Alison was also the coordinator of the student-run T.V. station for the annual Tom Bigler High School Journalism Conference each year. Sherry was a member of the Communications Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta as well as Chi Alpha Epsilon. She will oversee the potential employee interview as well as all employee introductions to Woodloch’s policies and structure. Sarina Hermann is the new Marketing Assistant at Woodloch Pines. Hermann graduated from SUNY at Buffalo with a BS in Business Administration, Concentration in Accounting. She previously worked for National Fuel Gas in Buffalo, N.Y., Mental Hygiene Legal Service, Quality Hotel & Suites and at the Fallside Hotel and Inn on the River in Buffalo. Her current responsibilities include internet research, e-mail queries, data entry, maintain and produce reports from the office’s database and maintain inventory of all marketing supplies, communicating with media, -general internet research to identify relevant space of the company. Office management roles including telephone answering, database management, filing, correspondence, direct mail work, website updates and general office organization. Woodloch Pines will be celebrating their 50th year in the hospitality business in 2008. Recognized by Better Homes and Gardens as “One of America’s Top Family Resorts”, it is owned by the Kiesendahl family.
