Youths charged as tire vandals

BLOOMING GROVE n State police Wednesday announced the arrests of two Milford youths in the Feb. 5 vandalism of 24 Krise buses serving the Delaware Valley School District at the Dingman Delaware campus. Michael Bennett, 18, and an unidentified 15-year-old boy, both of Milford, were charged with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass. Charges were filed with District Justice Alan Cooper and the Pike County Juvenile Judicial System. Police said the February incident, in which bus tires were deflated by the removal of tire valve cores from some 48 tires led to reported damages of $1,730.90. Additionally, the accompanying transportation delays led to the closure of all Delaware Valley schools on the day of the incident.
