About the cow

To the editor: A motorist is “frightened” by a cow that is not moving and complains to the borough. Should this person even be driving if they are unable to tell a fake cow from a real cow at 25 mph? What about the legions of motorists who have passed the craft shop and the cow and did not have a problem with it? Perhaps they thought it “cute”, or “quirky”, or maybe didn’t even notice it at all. How come they don’t count in the decision by the borough to move it? But one person complains and the borough officials order the fake cow moved. This is a demonstration once again of the willingness of government (federal, state, city, town, local) to concede to the lowest common denominator. Joanne M. Price Sunrise Lake
