Agrees with concerns
To the editor: I recently read your article on the condition of Sunrise Lake community. I wholeheartedly agree with the woman you interviewed. The dues charged each home owner are $475 per year, yet you still have to pay for garbage pickup, there are no recreational facilities and the winter road conditions are sub standard at best. With over 800 homes in the community, you would think Mr. Ramagosa could do a little better with the $400,000 he collects from his residents each year. Last year the one ammenity offered, the pool, never even opened due to some sort of cleanliness issue. And even if it had there are no tables to sit at or umbrellas on the deck for shade. Not to mention that in the 3 1/2 years I have lived here, my car has been shot with a bee-bee gun and a paintball gun leaving dents that I now had to pay to repair. There is no security to discourage rowdy teenagers from passing their time by vandalizing other peoples property. Perhaps if Mr Ramagosa used his deep pockets to provide some recreation for these kids, less security would be needed. But, whatever the case definite changes need to be made. I thank you for running your story and hope that if enough people voice their concerns that Sunrise Lake can become a nicer place to live. Jennifer Walsh Sunrise Lake
