Alien amnesty worries
To the editor: I read with interest the “Out and About” note in the Courier of May 25, of the (then) upcoming meeting of the Dingman Township Republican Club to discuss the problem of how Pike residents can protect the county from illegal alien amnesty. Of course, these confabs are not a new concept, as there were groups who met many years ago to try to address the menace of un-papered visitors to our shores. Those meetings were organized by people then known as Indians. I personally haven’t sensed this threat locally, but lest we lose perspective, try bending over picking cantaloupes all summer or paying $12 for a head of lettuce. In the meantime, I’ll remain vigilant and keep my eyes open for the color-coded threat levels. J.E. Vadovic Milford
