Car seat techs needed

To the editor: This letter is in regards to a request for anyone who may be interested in becoming a car seat safety technician. Pike County has a huge demand for car seat technicians who are willing to come to some of the events attended by the SAFE KIDS Coalition of Pike. Unfortunately we do not have enough technicians willing to do come to these events. To become a car seat technician there is a training course available for anyone to take. Currently the training takes place in Monroe County however, they are willing to come here to Pike and do the training to accommodate us. In order for SAFE KIDS to offer this in Pike we need to have some people willing to attend. If you or anyone you know who may be interested, I urge you to call us because the demand for this is growing every day.
