In Goldsack's defense
I understand that Robert Goldsack will not be on the Democratic ticket in the upcoming May primary for Delaware School Board, It is hard to believe that some 1,800 Democrats who voted for Bob Goldsack will be disenfranchised, because of minor technicalities. Mr. Goldsack along with other TUA members worked toward a zero tax increase. I as a Democrat was happy with my tax bill, as were many of my friends and neighbors who are Democrats, Republicans and Independents. Good government should work for everyone, taxes are a bipartisan issue. Because of the efforts of Mr. Siptroth fighting hard to get the Homestead Act passed along with Mr. Goldsack and other TUA members on the School Board, I received a reduction of $379 in my tax bill. Instead of working to remove Mr. Goldsack and Ms. Wright from the Democratic ballot. Ms. Forrest should have been assisting two fellow Democrats from Lehman Township that were new to the process and were running for Lehman Township Supervisor, as well as Lehman Township Tax Collector. The names of these two candidates, were also removed on a minor technicality. This is where the Democratic leadership should concentrate their efforts. I encourage all my fellow Democrats to do a write-in vote for Bob Goldsack, He and Ms. Wright deserve our support. Pike County Democrats are capable, and are entitled to the right to make their own choices. Charles & Mary Quilici Milford
