Leave patriotism out of it

This is in regards to some comments that I constantly hear made in the newspaper. You know what really ticks me off; when someone who considers themselves a patriot labels another American as unpatriotic, un-American; et cetera, whatever. The definition of unpatriotic in most dictionaries -- a lack of love for your country. Since citizens are, in all cases, the country, a lack of love for your citizens is really a lack of love for your country. So I get tired of hearing these hypocritical [bull-shenanigans]; sniping from those who would consider themselves to be patriots, but other citizens as perhaps being “unpatriots” or “un-Americans.” I believe it’s called Freudian projection. In whatever case, it’s hypocritical, and renders all monologues as “blah-blah-blah-blah-blah” in my ears - even purposeful monologues. So for whoever wants to throw that garbage out there, take a hike with that and keep on walking. You want to make a real point? Keep the hypocritical labeling to your living room or the local tavern.
