A common thread runs through the high points of life in Milford – and that is Mayor Strub

    To the Editor:

Great towns don’t just fall from the sky. Concerned citizens plan, work, and organize others to further common goals.

We have been visiting Milford for over 20 years. The moving trucks brought us here the day after my husband retired, because we just knew it would be a fantastic place to live.

We’ve benefited from the early and dedicated response to Covid-19. The recent West Nile virus scare was handled with efficiency. Police patrol our town day and night, and they are very much appreciated. Opera in the Park, held at the well-kept, well-lit, Ann Street Park was enjoyed by many. Seeing the ice skating in the winter is another highlight. The Black Bear Film Festival and the Milford Readers and Writers Festival have ensured Milford as a cultural destination.

There’s a common thread running through the high points of life in Milford – and that is Sean Strub. He was involved in one way or another, either as part of a team, or spearheading the effort.

Sean is a fine example of a man dedicating his energies to create and/or maintain a town we can all be proud to call home.

Mayor Strub has my vote in November, and I hope he has yours!
