Appreciation for food pantry bounty

To the Editor:

On Monday, Sept. 10, I was fortunate enough to host a benefit for the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Pike County along with Adriane Wendell (Harrington House), Laura Badea (Badea and Soul Spa), Fran Wood (Patina Antiques) and my mom, Barbara Eisenberg (The Craft Show). One hundred and fifty people came together for the fifth annual Share the Harvest dinner, raising $1,000 and a significant food donation for local neighbors in need as well as the funds necessary to finance Milford's annual Tree Lighting in December.
Share The Harvest was made possible thanks to generous local businesses, whose commitment to community is second to none. On behalf of the Milford Business Council, I would like to thank the following sponsors:
Host: Ken Pisciotta and the staff of The River Rock Inn
Musician: Eric Langberg
Tent sponsor: Smith Party Rentals
Food sponsors: Apple Valley Restaurant, Chang Mao, Fretta's Italian Specialties, The Grill at River Bend / Lynx Golf Course, Harford St. Eatery, Hotel Fauchere, Jorgenson's at The Dimmick, Milford Dairy Bar, Milford Farms, The Patisserie, The River Rock Inn, The Village Diner, The Waterwheel Café, The Yellow Cottage
Prize Donors: Action Bikes and Outdoors, Ambience Fine Furniture and Gifts, The Artisan Exchange, Badea and Soul Spa, Balch's Seafood, Black Bear Café, Blue Stone Studios, Books and Prints, ClockWorks, The Craft Show and For Her Boutique, Denim or Lace, Forest Hall Antiques, The Fork at Twin Lakes, Golden Fish Gallery, Gotta Get It, Harrington House Bed and Breakfast, Irene's Candy Shop, Jen Murphy Studio, Milford Theatre, Mimi's Mintage, Mount Haven Resort, Patina Antiques, Uniquely Yours, Upriver, The Vanilla Pig
By patronizing these businesses, you support your Milford community. Dine and deal with any of our many local professionals; You'll give our local economy a critical boost and ensure that local organizations thrive as a result.
I'd also encourage you to make your personal donation to the food pantry. There is a drop box for food donations at the entrance of the Milford Farms/Grand Union grocery store. Monetary donations may be sent to: Ecumenical Food Pantry of Pike County. 321 5 St. Milford PA. 18337.
Thanks for being a great neighbor.
