Blood donors beat goal, save hundreds of lives
To the Editor:
The student blood drive at Delaware Valley High School was a huge success. Despite the late start, we were able to exceed our goal of 101 pints of blood. Many thanks to our wonderful DV Warriors for their unselfish donation of 106 pints of blood. This means that you actually helped to save the lives of 318 people! Also a huge thanks to Madison Retallick, blood drive student chairperson, and to our core team of Amy Yoerg, Amanda Brown, Kailey Rosario and Allison Coyle. A special thank you to Mrs. Coyle and her HOSA students for their very professional help at the registration table and canteen. Last, but not least, a big thank you to the Family and Consumer Science teachers and students for making us delicious cookies. The next blood drive is April 26 — let’s make that one even bigger.
