I wanted to go on record with my support for Christa Caceres for Pike County commissioner.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to have had several conversations with her on a variety of subjects important to Pike County. Most impressive to me was her willingness to listen and gather information to make informed decisions not based on partisanship. This extends beyond her opposition to the proposed warehouse/distribution center on our aquifer, which she has been the only commissioner candidate willing to take a definitive stand on.
Christa also has the vision for what is needed to grow Pike County responsibly:
- Affordable housing so that people employed in the hospitality industry can have a comfortable place to live
- Improvement of public transit via an expanded bus system to help seniors and others who have no mode of transportation get to appointments or jobs
- Expansion of medical services especially in the areas of addiction and mental health, as well as expanding neonatal care
Christa has the experience, intelligence, and vision to lead us into the future.
