Moratorium on death penalty is not the answer

To the Editor:
The death penalty is already limited to cases with enumerated aggravating factors and is reserved for the most heinous of crimes. I believe prosecutors in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania should have the option to seek the death penalty.

Furthermore, any decision regarding the death penalty must take into account the victims and their families' opinions first and foremost.

One thing is clear, a moratorium is not the answer.
