Nominate your favorite place for National Geographic's Geotourism Program
To the Editor:
We are thrilled to announce that our businesses, sites and places to experience have the opportunity to be nominated and selected as part of a National Geographic Geotourism Project encompassing the middle and upper Delaware River area. We are seeking nominations on the newly created "Scenic, Wild Delaware River" National Geographic website for places to visit, stay, dine, experience, historical sites and much more from members of the communities in the tri-state area. The nominations begin now through Jan. 15, 2016.
National Geographic's Geotourism Program was founded in 2003 and has 22 projects completed or underway in the world...and we are one! National Geographic sites that, "Geotravelers are worth about $365 more per person to the destination." The National Geographic brand has a powerful impact and it will provide us with the opportunity to share with the world reasons to come and visit from the point of view of locals.
Our Chamber is proud to be part of the Stewardship Council, comprised of private, public and non-profit representatives that serve as a steering committee and are official supporters of this project.
