Perspectives on a walk through Milford
The following comments were among the many posted on the Courier's Facebook page in response to the article "'Positive march' through Milford to make their voices heard," published online at pikecountycourier.com last Friday and in the Jan. 27 edition.
Laurie Ramos: Why do people feel the need to make rude comments? These people marched peacefully, not hurting anyone to show their feelings and have their voices heard. It hurt no one. Everyone has a right to stand up for what they believe in, and as long as their doing it peacefully nobody should have a problem with it.
Patricia Liana Maley: Milford, PA thank you for keeping it peaceful! This is truly what America is about! Don't like something you have the right to let others know. The rioting going on is sickening and a disgrace.
Rick Vittone: God Bless President Trump. What a great day for our Republic. And all the band of wagon Libs that held their little walk, I wish they kept walking right across the river into Jersey. PA is Red!
Kim MacDonald Rotello: The rights of middle class Americans have been ignored for 8 years. We finally put our foot down and did something about it. I didn't march up and down the streets waving signs when Obama was voted in. I wasn't happy but I acted liked an adult and accepted it. Grow up people. Try working with each other instead of against each other.
Kim Galimi: I don't mind peaceful protests. But to get a little kid involved. This shouldn't be allowed.
Valerie Seitz O'Hare: I think it's a good thing and am happy to see that people are willing to stand up for what they think it right! As far as the children I see no reason why they shouldn't be included, I mean it's their future we're fighting for! So for all the negative nelly's out there let's do what we teach our children... if you don't have anything nice to say then keep your mouth shut.
Gerni S Lee: Free country! Kids and all.
Linda Mortensen: Good to see the youngsters in peaceful protests. Democracy isn't a couch sitting activity.
Michele Mascali Petersen: I'm am now 100 percent embarrassed to tell people where I live. This inauguration represented ALL that is right with America — the fact that our govt was meant to be for the people, by the people NOT for the coffers of the hypocrites in DC. So much for my little piece of Americana...
Ben Hissam: Milford continues to amaze me very little economy if you think this administration is going to help I have a bridge for sale. You get you voted for.
William Tarkett: Complete waste of time. Accomplished nothing.
Laura McGillick Staine: Not your time so don't worry about it
Denis Holohan: Get over it and stop crying he won he's our president now lets focus on something else.
Leah Grosso: Way to go Milford! Keep making your voices heard!
