Saw Creek Estates responds to arrest of Bushkill man for soliciting sex from a minor

To the Editor:
The Board of Directors and residents of Saw Creek Estates would like to thank the Pennsylvania State Police at Blooming Grove for their quick and decisive action in apprehending an alleged sexual predator in the community.
Alexander Ghidella, who operates the Pocono Karate Club in East Stroudsburg, was taken into custody in the parking lot of Saw Creek’s Top of the World Recreation Complex. Recent press reports fail to clarify that Ghidella was not employed by Saw Creek Estates as a youth martial arts instructor.
We regret that the investigation led police to apprehend the suspect within our community, but we know it is not a reflection on the community itself. The police must follow wherever their investigation leads them.
Saw Creek Estates is one of the safest and most desirable places to live or vacation in the Poconos. The community employs a highly professional, well trained and equipped Public Safety Department which has an excellent working relationship with the State Police and other law enforcement agencies. Thanks again to our State Police and Public Safety Officers for keeping our community safe.
