Thanks to Milford residents in medical emergency
To the Editor:
Two weeks ago, my husband had a medical emergency which landed us in Milford, Pa. I want to say how much we deeply appreciated the care and concern we received from everyone we encountered in Milford.
We had planned for a few days camping at nearby Promised Land State Park but the trip was cut short when my husband became ill. We attempted to head home to Connecticut, but by the time we reached Milford he couldn’t go any farther. He was driving our RV and I pulled up behind him in front of the Exxon station on Route 6 in our Jeep with three dogs.
Chris Chun, the manager of the Exxon station, and his staff quickly gave me directions to the Urgent Care facility nearby and assured me that I could entrust the RV with them as long as necessary.
When we arrived at Urgent Care the waiting room was packed with folks who also needed medical attention, but when the staff took one look at my husband they admitted him immediately. Not one person in the waiting room, some of whom had been there for more than hour, said one of word of protest. In fact, all I saw was understanding and compassion.
The entire Urgent Care staff was efficient and caring, even to the point of offering to help me walk my dogs! Thanks to them, I was able to drive my husband home and have his medical problem attended to.
One day, under better circumstances, I hope we can return to lovely Milford. In the meantime we’ll always remember the wonderful people who did all they could to help us when we so needed it.
