Trash on Route 209 is embarrassing

To the Editor:
Since the snow has disappeared, it amazes me all the garbage that has appeared. Plastic shopping bags, fast food bags, cups, food containers, etc.
That strip from the Staples light to the Walmart light is littered with garbage. The township should make the owners of each of those stores responsible to pick that garbage up.
It's an embarrassment to drive by it and live in this area, which is starting to look like downtown Newark. Please help.
