No on Santos

To the editor: I read with deep concern the purchase of the 120-acre Santos Farm by the Delaware Valley School System. The Santos Farm is the last piece of prime real estate left in Milford. If we wanted to reduce our school taxes, which jump up every year at an alarming rate, we would be better off to have businesses come open up on that site to help share our tax burden. Best of all, these businesses would not bring additional children into the school system. For the school to buy this piece of prime real estate is akin to buying a piece of land on midtown 5th Avenue in New York City to open a school - it makes no sense. What’s more, this land is not all usable. It’s about time we have some accountability in our school board. We are paying your bills, and the school board cannot assume we will pay whatever extravagance they have the whim to spend. Reggie Cheong-Leen Milford
