On the school board
To the editor: The front page story in last week’s Courier read: “[Diane French] appeared with Taypayers United running mates John Kupillas and John Wladar, who were making their first appearance at a board meeting.” This completely factual and unbiased statement gives enough reason on its own why Kupillas and Wladar are not worthy of our vote. Would we vote for a judge who has no legal experience? Would we vote for a senator who leaves meetings early? Would we vote for a president who has no political background? Surely we wouldn’t vote for any of these hypothetical people. Somehow, though, in the Delaware Valley school board election we’ve already let go of more qualified individuals, like Bell Hodges-Smith and financial guru Jack Fisher, in favor of two men who attended their first school board meeting ever a little over two weeks ago. The people who deserve our vote in the DV school board election (and more importantly, the people who the children in our school district deserve) are the incumbents and/or active members in our school and community: Sue Casey, Frank Colletta, Sue Schor, and John Wroblewski.
