So much baloney

Last week you published a letter from someone who wrote of a “secret” operation by which pure uranium (yellowcake) was removed from Iraq and shipped to Canada. The Bush people would be the last on Earth to keep such an operation secret, desperate as they are to justify and thereby legitimize their very costly but otherwise marvelously profitable war. The secret is that the operation is at best folklore or at worst a delusion. Did I ever tell you of the time I was driving out west and I picked up a hitchhiker who disappeared from the back seat of my car? With so much baloney in the world, it’s a wonder anyone ever starves.
