To the editor: On behalf of Branch 5931, National Association of Letter Carriers, Matamoras, PA. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the residents of Matamoras and Westfall Township served by our office for their generous donations of non-perishable foods for our annual NALC Food Drive. This nationwide food drive is the largest one day food drive in the United States, and thousands of letter carriers participate annually. The collected food is delivered to food banks across America to be distributed. It should be noted that all of the food collected by our office is donated to the Pike County Ecumenical Food Pantry to assist Pike County residents in need. Your donations are truly helping your Pike County neighbors. We collected in excess of 2,800 Ibs. of food this year, and all the staff at the US Postal Service/In Matamoras thank you for making our efforts so successful! Keith W.
