To the editor: The May 16 primary elections were chilly and wet. To those voters who traveled to the polls and voted absentee, your vote is appreciated and necessary. An important message was sent to Harrisburg that voters are looking for a change in Pennsylvania. Politics as usual is not good enough. Pike County voters have good choices in the Democratic candidates that will be on the ballot in November: Bob Casey for U.S. Senator; Ed Rendell for Governor; Catherine Baker Knoll for Lieutenant Governor; Chris Carney for U.S. Representative; Robert McNamara for State Senator; and John Siptroth for State Representative. Voters matter and your vote is important. Hope to see you at the polls! Marian Keegan, Democratic State Committee representative from Pike County
