Thank you Dingman Township Supervisors
Thank you for listening. A few months ago I went to a Dingmans Township Board of Supervisors meeting to complain about the cable franchise tax. Even though I still do not agree with the tax, I felt that if it were to be imposed, the money collected should go to the recreation and parks department for all of the Dingmans Township residents to enjoy. This would give an opportunity for the residents of the surrounding community associations to benefit directly from the tax. For most of these private associations; the majority of township, county and state services stop at the community association’s entrance. These communities must rely on their own self sufficiency with providing their own maintenance, snow removal, garbage removal, and/or security. So when the township is able to offer something back to include everyone in the township, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you to Tom Mincer and the rest of the Dingmans Township supervisors for listening and placing the initial $200,000 Cable Franchise settlement directly into the parks and recreation department of Dingmans Township. Your leadership should set an example for our entire local government, not just township, but county and state. It is encouraging that one’s voice can be heard. Mike Stevenson Dingmans Ferry
