True transparency and leadership

We need school board members like Jack Fisher, Bill Greenlaw, Pam Lutfy, Chuck Pike and Sue Schor who understand the dynamics of educating all students to reach their highest potential and giving them a future with opportunities. Our school board needs members who understand what it takes to ensure that our students get the best education possible by using smart budgeting and making fiscal responsibility a real priority. It’s time for a new approach to the challenges that face our school district, businesses and community. These candidates are innovative and refuse to put politics and private business deals ahead of our children and taxpayers. Our children deserve an equal chance to succeed in the global economy and that opportunity starts in our schools. There is no doubt that we need changes on our school board. We need a school board that lives up to responsibility and accountability. People should not pretend to care about the taxpayers and then have an unannounced meeting arranged by Mrs. French and Mr. Goldsack with a vendor and the vendor’s attorney without notifying the remainder of the school board members. Please refer to the January 7, 2009 Delaware Valley School District Transportation Committee meeting minutes for the “facts”. You will find the minutes of this meeting at: www.dvsd.org/Community/MeetingMinutes/TransportationCommitteeMeeting01072009.pdf We, the voters, have a chance to clean-up the bad politics on the Delaware Valley School Board and the voters can make that happen by voting in the May 19, 2009 Primary Election for Fisher, Greenlaw, Lutfy, Pike, and Schor. These candidates are promoting true transparency and leadership for economic and educational balance. Kim Pabon Matamoras
