    ‘Gasland’ film to be shown HONESDALE — The award-winning documentary film “Gasland,” by Josh Fox which won the Documentary Award at the recent Sundance Film Festival will be shown on Friday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at the Parish House of Grace Episcopal Church at 9th and Church Streets in Honesdale. Fox, a resident of Wayne County, traveled across the country for nearly a year visiting various locations where gas drilling was occurring. The controversial film is an indictment of the excesses of some of the gas companies that he encountered. Free yoga classes at PEEC DINGMANS FERRY — Two free yoga classes will be available at the Pocono Environmental Education Center over the next several weeks. Join yoga teacher Meredith Hutter Chamorro for a light-hearted, balanced yoga practice with special attention to alignment. Come open your heart and achieve a new level of vitality and peace. All levels of ability are welcome. Yoga classes held from 7 to 8 p.m. on June 28, & July 1 and will be free of charge. Learn to kayak DINGMANS FERRY — Kittatinny Canoes, is hosting “Learn To” days this July. If you want to learn to kayak, join them on July 11 or July 18 at Kittatinny’s river base in Matamoras, where certified instructors will teach novices the essentials of kayaking, followed by a guided ten mile trip from Pond Eddy, N.Y., to Matamoras. July is the time for tubing. Kittatinny’s tube trips leave daily from either our River Beach Campsites in Milford or Kittatinny Campgrounds in Barryville, N.Y. It is a great way to cool down on a hot summer day while enjoying the splendor the river scenery has to offer.
