MILFORD - The 56th annual Pike County Arts and Crafts show will be held July 12 to 23 at Borough Hall, 109 Catharine St., Milford, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. There will be a “meet the artists” wine and cheese reception with live music on Friday, July 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. At this reception Kimberly Stromberg of Delaware Valley High School and Schulyer Grant of Lake Wallenpaupack High Schoo will be given Georgiana P. Kiger “Excellence in Arts” scholarships. On July 15 Pike County Arts and Crafts will also have its Sidewalk Arts and Crafts Festival Day. High-quality arts and crafts, made by members, will be on display on Broad Street in front of the little galleries, shops, restaurants, Victorian homes, and hotels that make Milford so attractive to tourism. New classes are starting. In August, Saturday morning’s popular stained glass class at Borough Hall will be supplemented by a new, eight hours over four Saturdays, class called “Basic Drawing for Those Who Missed It in High School.” It’s open to adults for $40, and preregistration is required. Call 570-296-2338 for information. This class is eligible for the Parent-Teen-Twofer rate, which is meant to encourage quality time between parents and teens as well as solid art instruction for interested members of the community.
