Art Is Flying - ‘From the Artist's Lafayette, NJ Studio, to an Art Gallery in Port Jervis'

    PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Sculptor Tony Lordi will be exhibiting works like; “Flying Guitar” “Midtown Manhattan” “The Big Shot Empire State Building” and more, at Up Front Art Gallery, 31 Jersey Avenue, Port Jervis, N.Y. The New Fall Show - runs from Oct, 3 through Nov. 29. Over the past 20 years Tony Lordi has become known for his “Empire State Building Sculptures” as well as other “Combines” made from Vintage Objects. Using everything from toasters to dominoes, umbrellas to ironing boards you will discover almost “Any old thing” can be found in his constructions. This Exhibit portrays how a Guitar can Fly and why a Lady has a Clock for a Head. The public is invited to meet Tony Lordi and 20 other Artists at the Gallery’s Opening Reception on Saturday, Oct, 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. UpFront will present free; Live Music, A Wine Give-away and many other interesting and unique surprises. Artists Participating in the show are: Amy Rowland, Angelo Marfisi, Barbara A.G. Riddle, Christine Jacobsen, Debbie Gioello, Emrie Brooke Foster, Frank Shuback, Gordon Graff, Greg Zukowski, Ken Krause, Laura J. Bolle, Mark Silverstone, Nick Roes, Rob Greig, and Steven Paul Riddle along with new exhibiting artists Evan Sinclair, Don Hutchinson, Doug Glenn, Shelia Glenn and Albert Singer.
