Artist exhibits at library

    GREENWOOD LAKE - The Greenwood Lake, N.Y., Public Library is featuring Cyra Greene of Manhattan and Greenwood Lake as its artist of the month for March. There will be a meet-the-artist reception for Cyra’s show, “The Journey Over The Bridge,” at the library, 79 Waterstone Road , at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19. The show includes more than a dozen of Cyra’s acrylics, water colors and pen-and-ink drawings of landscape and jazz-influenced themes. Cyra combines poetry, psychology and art in an inventive lifestyle that is well-known among her fans in Greenwich Village, where she makes her primary residence, and upstate New York , where she draws the inspiration for many of her landscapes. Originals and reproductions of the works will be on sale. Listed works include “Greenwood Lake Stoptime,” “ Bear Mountain Bridge ,” and “Columbia Philosophers’ Jazz.”
