Bake sale

MILFORD — Recognizing Excellence in Early Childhood Education (R.E.E.CH.E.) is having a bake sale on Saturday, March 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Luhrs Hardware in Milford. The mission of R.E.E.CH.E. is to promote quality care and education in the Tri-State area through planning and implementing community events involving children, parents, educators, politicians and the community at large, and to recognize early childhood educators as valued professionals. Each year R.E.E.CH.E. organizes events during the nationally recognized “Week Of the Young Child” (WOYC). This bake sale will benefit the events that the group is organizing. This year during the celebration week, Apr. 13—19, R.E.E.CH.E. will hold: • a ‘Kick Off’ event at Airport Park on Sunday, Apr.13, • a parade of children in Milford on Wednesday, Apr. 16, and • a recognition dinner for child care practitioners on Friday, Apr. 18. They want the community to come and support the efforts of R.E.E.CH.E. by purchasing some delicious treats. There will be extraordinary pies, mouth watering coffee cakes, authentic shoe fly pies, and scrumptious specialty breads, just in time for the Easter holiday.
