Band members welcome to join ESU concert

EAST STROUDSBURG — Brass, percussion and woodwind musicians with previous band experience are welcome to join the East Stroudsburg University/Community Concert Band as it prepares for its concert on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall at the University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg. Community members are welcome and asked to join no later than Monday, Oct. 3.
Members are expected to have previous instrumental music experience. There is no membership or application fee, and no prior signup is required. Interested musicians should simply come to rehearsals.
Vincent LoRusso, director of bands at Blue Ridge High School, is the band's new director. An active guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band Committee. In 2014 and 2016, he received a Citation of Excellence from the National Band Association.
