Booklovers Bash to raise money for Hawley Library

HAWLEY — The Hawley Public Library’s annual Booklovers Bash will take place Saturday, April 2, at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Banquet Center on Lake Wallenpaupack in Hawley.

The evening is a major fundraising event for the library and will include music, dancing, a silent auction, and a buffet featuring foods from across the globe. Dress is smart casual.

Opening the evening at 6 p.m. will be the “First Chapter” cash bar, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres. At 7 p.m. will be “The Main Plot,” otherwise know as dinner, to be followed by “The Conclusion,” a sweet dessert.

“Our Library has served the people of Wayne and Pike Counties for well over 50 years thanks to the generosity and dedication of our volunteers, friends and neighbors,” said Dona Schmalzle, the Booklovers chair. “We invite everyone to attend and share in a wonderful evening while also helping our library to continue its tradition of service to all.”

The cost is $45 a person or $80 a couple. Sponsorships are also being sought.
