Christmas tea at St. John, a 52-year tradition

MILFORD — Celebrate the start of the holidays with a charming and classic English-styled Christmas tea at the Church of the Good Shepherd and St. John the Evangelist in Milford.
The tea will include three delightful courses and a wide variety of teas. From scones and clotted cream, to mini cheese cakes with raspberries, cucumber sandwiches, and crème de menthe bars, visitors can expect a scrumptious selection of breakfast, lunch, and dessert options to sample. Vintage tea sets will provide hot tea, coffee, or hot chocolate with fresh cream and sugar, while calming festive Christmas music creates the magical atmosphere that belongs exclusively to this season. Children can choose from a separate menu, including peanut butter sandwiches and thumbprint cookies, so that everyone goes home happy.
The Christmas tea has been an Episcopal tradition for centuries, and has taken place at the Church of the Good Shepherd and St. John the Evangelist for more than 52 years. Alongside the delicious food and beverages, there will also be a craft sale where customers can find unique holiday gifts for those they love.
