'City of Dreams' at the Milford Theatre

David Gonzalez and The Poetic License Band will present "City of Dreams," new music, poetry and multi-media project, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Historic Milford Theatre, 114 East Catherine St., Milford. The band mixes the ancient rhythms of Afro-Cuban music and modern jazz with poetry from the "now-moment" of contemporary American Latino culture. Gonzalez's poems and stories explore the quest for cultural identity as  they document his personal odyssey. Tickets $20, or $15 in advance.
