Halloween benefit for United Way MILFORD — The Tom Quick Inn and the United Way of Pike County have partnered to host another local event! “Costume and Cocktails” will be held at the Tom Quick Inn on Friday, Oct. 30, from 8 p.m. to midnight. In step with this July’s event, “Moishel and Camille’s Engagement Party,” United Way of Pike County is again hosting an affordable adult event for the community to come out and have fun while supporting the United Way. The Mistress of Ceremonies, “Sugar”, will be there to greet guests and dance the night away; and “Sugar” really knows how to throw a party so we all can expect some surprises. The admission fee of $25 includes hors d’ourves and complimentary punch. There will be a cash bar and you can order off the menu if you choose to. During the evening there be a best costume contest and 50/50 raffles tickets with proceeds going to the United Way of Pike County. So get your Halloween costume ready and schedule a baby sitter so you can attend and re-connect with your friends and neighbors. “I encourage everyone to come out to the October event and have some fun. This is one of the easiest things we all can do in order to support the United Way and help them raise funds to make an impact in our community.” said John Gilpin, Pike County Treasurer and United Way board member. “We are very grateful to Reza Ghassemi, The Tom Quick Inn and J-Angelo Event Planning for hosting another event for the United Way of Pike County and its efforts to bring hope where needed in our community. This is a fun way to assist the United Way in continuing our local efforts to help alleviate hunger, homelessness, sickness and abuse right where we live,” stated Christine Obser, United Way President. This is this the one night when you can come out and dress up as anyone! Be prepared to see witches goblins, ghouls and fairy princesses’ meander about town and on the sprawling Tom Quick front porch.
