Craft/artisan fair for humane society
WESTFALL The Pike County Humane Society is holding its Spring Crafts & Artisan Fair this weekend. The first two Craft Fairs last year were such a success all the crafters wanted to come back again. They told their friends, so now it will be filled with both last years Craft Fair favorites and new vendors and items. This event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Delaware Valley High School 9/10 gymnasium located on US Route 6/209. There will be more than 50 crafters and local artists showcasing their many talents and crafts. You can’t get items like this in a chain store or mall. There is a $2 admission donation with all proceeds benefiting the animals of the Pike County Humane Society. This event will be extra special with live demonstrations of woodcarving and pottery. Some of the crafts and talents on display will include beautiful artwork, jewelry, and homemade greeting cards, stained glass designs, pet and animal related items, bath and body products, intarsia, woodworking, quilting, Native American Indian crafts and paintings and beading demonstrations. They will have most everything in the craft and artisan trades including knitting, crocheted items, stitchery, paintings, photography, Americana, painted country woodcrafts, homemade candies and fudge. The Humane Society will have their own baked goods table and food sales. Friends and members of the PCHS have donated their own hand-made items for the PCHS craft table where 100% of the sales going to help us help the animals. There will truly be something for everyone. The PCHS is also accepting items to sell at their own craft table. All money from the sale of these items will go to help us help the animals.
