Daskal watercolor painting class offered

STROUDSBURG Once again, popular Pocono Mountains impressionist Will Daskal will bring his artistic flair and entertaining teaching style to area residents. The Pocono Arts Council has announced a new spring Watercolor Workshop, totaling 12 instructional hours, on four consecutive Fridays, from Apr. 4 to 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the ARTSPACE Gallery in Stroudsburg. This is a delightfully fun-filled, hands-on, creative class for watercolorists at all levels of development who want to learn how easy it is to produce impressive watercolor paintings with little or no previous experience in this painting medium! No previous drawing ability is required. You do not have to be an artist to participate. You will learn to use your innate, fundamental drawing skills to sketch out a pleasing composition which will be the basis for your watercolor painting; or, you can use a favorite photograph as a reference. This course will briefly touch on light, form, composition, color theory and developing simple creative techniques that result in exciting and interesting ways to express your artistic ideas, while developing your individuality and technique.
