DVHS Orchestra to perform in concert

    Students, parents, teacher, alumni and other members of the community are invited to attend the Delaware Valley High School Orchestra Concert on April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Delaware Valley High School Auditorium, Routes 6 and 209 in Milford.

    There is no charge for this event.

    Included in this performance will be a 25th Anniversary celebration of the DVSD string program. The celebration will include a portion of the current string players from each Elementary School and each Middle School.

    Alumni of the DV string program are cordially invited to play their string instrument along with the HS String Orchestra during the performance of “Festival” by Carold Nunez.

    Additional pieces selected to be performed by the String Orchestra include: Vivaldi’s “Summer from the Four Seasons”, Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Slava!” and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”.

    Additional selections to be performed by the Symphony Orchestra include: Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, Copland’s “Hoe-Down from Rodeo, selections from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story”, and “Star Trek Through the Years”.
