Eaglefest is coming

    Narrowsburg, N.Y. - EagleFest organizers, the Delaware Valley Eagle Alliance, have planned expanded and new programs for the sixth annual EagleFest, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13. The day will kick off with opening dedications at 9:30 AM in the Narrowsburg, New York school auditorium. Uniquely combining entertainment and education for all attending, the award winning Narrowsburg EagleFest is an event for everyone. It has been successful in bringing in local residents and out-of-town visitors of all ages to the day’s multi-faceted series of activities and brings much deserved attention to natural resources that enrich everyone’s lives in the Delaware River Valley region. In addition to live demonstrations by the Bill Streeter, executive director of the Delaware Valley Raptor Center in Milford, this EagleFest will feature educational programs and exhibits. Biologist and eagle expert, Peter Nye of the N.Y. Department of Environmental Conservation will be presenting, as well as, several biologists/naturalists from N.J. and Pa. Wanda Gangel is the featured artist. There will be programs for children, including a children’s eagle art contest and story telling. Ice sculpture demonstrations, photography exhibits, a nature and wildlife art show and eagle viewing sites all add to the day’s excitement.
