Ellen Kaye at Port Java

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. Nightclub singer Ellen Kaye and guitarist Tony Romano will bring their blend of jazz and blues to Port Java, 19 front Street in Port Jervis, N.Y. on Saturday, June 13, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Their shows include an eclectic mix of pop classics and contemporary tunes. In any set you might hear Hoagy Carmichael, Randy Newman, Tom Waits, Annie Lennox and classic blues from the 1920s. Ellen Kaye has performed at a broad range of New York City venues including Carnegie Hall (with the New York Pops), the Mabel Mercer Foundation Annual Celebration at Town Hall, the Angry Squire, Maxim’s, Tatou, Surf Reality, Adelaide’s, and the original Monkey Bar, as well as other venues in and outside NYC. Tony Romano has been active in the New York music scene for many years as a guitarist, music director, teacher, and now, producer. Ellen and Tony have been performing together for a number of years with a band, and more recently as a vocal-guitar duo. This will be their first area appearance. There is no cover or minimum.
