Elvis tribute artist Jesse Garron coming to Milford Theater
Milford. Although he adds his own styling at times, he says his goal is to be authentically Elvis.

Jesse Garron will take the audience through the concert years when Elvis was King and will bring those favorite songs to a vibrant life again at the Milford Theater on April 1, 2023.
When Jesse first started, Belinda Bruce, a reporter dubbed him, “The closest thing to the king,” and that moniker has stuck with him for all of the 26 years he has been an Elvis tribute artist. Bruce said, “He looks like Elvis and he sounds like Elvis.”
For his part, Garron has tried to become Elvis. Although he will, at times, add his own styling, his goal is to be authentically Elvis. Garron became inspired by Elvis at the age of 4 and has always admired Elvis’ magnificent voice and the ease with which he sang cross platform from rock n roll, to gospel, to country. Coming from a musical family, he said he felt a particular affinity for Presley’s music.
Garron took and changed the spelling of the name of Elvis’ twin brother Jesse Garon, who died in childbirth, for a stage name as an expression of respect for Elvis. He wanted to feel close to Elvis who always remembered his brother.
Garron performs about 30 shows a year across the country. He travels with a four piece band called the “Essential Elvis Tribute Band,” with drummer Bill Mattack, Jr., guitarist Michael Carr, bassist Matt Pulcinella, keyboardist Marc Young and back-up singers Julie Malewski, and Jessica Nicols. Malewski is also Jesse’s manager and wife. They have a daughter, Abby, who also sings with them, on occasion.
The show is very interactive with Garron even throwing scarves into the audience - a tradition started by Elvis in September 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona.
In 2019, Garron was inducted into the International Tribute Artist Hall of Fame for his dedication to keeping Elvis’ legacy alive.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Milford Theater. Doors open at 7 p.m.
