HAWLEY — Discover why owls are the original stealth stalkers of the nighttime sky at a program being offered from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at PPL’s Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center. Darryl Speicher of the Pocono Avian Research Center will lead this program that will begin indoors with a presentation on owl biology and behavior. Learn all about “Project OwlNet” to track the migration of saw-whet owls and how you can get involved. We will then move outdoors to try our hand at calling to owls that might be present in the nearby woods. Please dress for the weather. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required. For more information, registration and directions, contact PPL at 570-251-6196 or pplpreserves@pplweb.com .
