Family festival continues through weekend
MATAMORAS The Tri-State Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first annual Tri-State Family Festival, July 22-26 at the Best Western at Hunt’s Landing in Matamoras. Sponsors say this event will prove to be the gem of the tri state area for this summer. With many families unable to travel a long distance for vacation this year due to the economy, this festival will be an event where the whole family can come and enjoy fun and safe activities. They will have carnival rides and midway provided by S&S Amusements, food and craft vendors, demonstrations by local dance and martial arts schools, bingo, music by outstanding bands daily and a huge fireworks display with European manufactured fireworks which produce spectacular shows on Saturday, provided by Colonial Fireworks Displays. With a $2 entry fee for persons thirteen and up, and no parking fees, you can come and enjoy the festival every day.
