'Faure-In-A-Day' workshop coming to Drew Methodist

, N.Y. — All singers are welcome to a one-day "Faure Requiem" workshop hosted by the Tri-State Chorale from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Drew United Methodist Church, 49 Sussex St., Port Jervis, N.Y.
Participants will work with six professionals:
Matthew Rupcich, conductor
Richard Horst, conductor
Ruth Ann Gordon, conductor
Jennifer Cowgill, soprano
George Levandowski, baritone
Sheri Melcher, organist
Participants will sing together while learning something about performing Faure's Requiem.
The $10 admission at the door includes a reception.

The Tri-State Chorale is a nonprofit collaboration between professional music director, conductor, and vocal coach, Matthew Rupcich, and a group of local singers of varied abilities.
Young adult to mature singers are welcome to improve their vocal awareness and singing skills through the study of a variety of works from classical to choral, theatrical, folk, and gospel. The chorale started in 2016 as a summertime-only singing group. Membership is free for students.
