MILFORD — Pike County Arts & Crafts has been making Milford even more beautiful since 1950. This outstanding nonprofit arts education organization received the 2007 Governor’s Award for the Arts. It is offering yet another program, free to the public. This year, in cooperation with Milford Borough and the Chamber of Commerce, PCAC will be holding a series of Sunday afternoon art demonstrations by extraordinary master artists. The demonstrations will take place at Borough Hall at 109 W. Catharine Street at 1:30 p.m. promptly and are open to members, their guests, and potential PCAC members. The first First Sunday will feature master portrait artist Cynthia Pagano-Harris on Apr. 6. Proclaimed watercolor painter and graphic artist Ann Higgins will be the May 4 presenter. Watercolor Linda Barboni is slated to be June’s First Sunday visiting artist. PCAC’s Charter Member Matilda Grech, a nationally renowned, award-winning artist who continues to teach classes for PCAC, will also be offering a First Sunday demonstration this year. The First Sunday program will be pre-empted in the month of August when PCAC will be holding its 58th Annual Arts and Crafts Exhibition at Borough Hall and also participating in the Festival of Wood at Grey Towers. New members are always welcome to PCAC.
