Gap hosts wildlife show

BUSHKILL Kathy Uhler and some of her live feathered and furred friends from the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will visit with children and adults at the Fall Family Fun Day in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (NRA) Saturday morning, Nov. 10, at the Bushkill Meeting Center (the former Bushkill Visitor Center) on Route 209 at the Pike County/Monroe County line. Attend the morning program, which is both fun and educational and then enjoy the parkland in the afternoon. Learn about wildlife native to the Pocono region, the problems they encounter and how they can be helped. The presentation will include a live wildlife demonstration using animals that cannot be released into the wild. Reservations are suggested. Call 570-426-2490 (voice mail) and leave your reservation so enough crafts and snacks are provided. For further information, check the park’s web site at www.nps.gov/dewa. Information about the Friends is available at www.friendsofdewa.org .
