— Members of the Milford Garden Club created floral interpretations of artwork made by members of the ARTery Gallery. The companion works are displayed side by side at the gallery through May 8 as part of "Art in Bloom."
The ARTery Gallery has been an artist-owned and -operated gallery since 1999. It's located in the historic Forest Hall building at 210 Broad St. in Milford, where the first U.S Foresters attended summer classes. The gallery presents the art and craft of an ever-changing membership of regional artists.
The energetic volunteer membership of the garden club has been beautifying Milford for 23 years. Its many programs include its annual flower show, beautification program throughout town and three public gardens, the community garden that grows food for the local Ecumenical Food Pantry, a scholarship program, and the preservation of the Milford rose, its history and tradition.
Gallery hours are Monday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Thursday, 2:30-6 p.m.; and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m,
