MILFORD —The Artery gallery is proud to showcase the work of local artists Debbie Gioello and Madeline Tully throughout the month of August. Debbie Gioello will be presenting a group of representational butterfly paintings, which are created from actual specimens purchased on a trip to South America. The paintings have been executed using multiple layers of acrylic paint and varnish, which give the work a three-dimensional quality. Debbie says, “For me, butterflies, with their final shape and color configuration represent the beauty of metamorphisms. Madeline Tully, a long-time Artery member, will be presenting her varied collection of watercolors which elegantly capture the beauty of flowers, landscapes and nudes. The show will run from Thursday, Aug. 6 through Monday Sept. 7 with an artist’s reception to be held Saturday, Aug. 8 from 4 to 9 p.m., coinciding with Milford’s Art After Dark, a town wide arts-walk. The Artery is located in historic Forest Hall at the corner of Broad and Harford Streets in Milford. For more information call 570 409-1234.
